People of Echor City
-
ALPHA are super soldiers created in Augur Corp’s bioengineering program. ALPHA’s have preternatural strength or speed, and ALPHA Prime even have additional powers such as the ability to generate electricity or manipulate light. Their existence is down to Augur’s ‘Wonder Serum’, but the details of the bioengineering program that creates them are secret – and if you ask Sebastian, very questionable.
-
Shades are a form of mutant, touched by the magic of the Veil, which transforms them physically into what many people consider monsters. Shades may have grey skin, or solid black eyes, bone spurs or even bodies that are slowly turning incorporeal. There is very little research into them, but it’s said they have strange powers of their own. Most Shades do their best to pass anonymously in society.
-
Whilst widespread magic died out long ago, some people in the world still have traces of ancestral powers, which some refer to as ‘Small Magic’. This could be anything from a cosmetic quirk to the ability to fix small tears in fabric with touch, but Small Magic isn’t usually very powerful.
-
Mythical, celestial beings once thought to have wings. Documentation suggests Valkyries walked the earth up to as recently as 200 years ago, but none have been seen on public record in recent times.
